A collection of songs inspired by my love of horror films. Some more directly than others.

This project started as a bunch of guitar tracks I recorded in my late 20s, and then tinkered with and formed into songs in my 30s. The Vocals were also recorded in my 30s. Some of the lyrics were things I wrote on the spot but most of them were things I wrote for a band I was trying to get started in my early 20s. Then finally when I turned 40 I did a few overdubs and re-recorded some vocals. This was all way more complicated and convoluted than it needed to be, but it's finally done after sitting around for way too long.

The lyrics are mostly abstract, and not really running down the plots of these films. For the most part it's just the mood of the film being conveyed in lyrical form. But if you're curious I'll list the movies below.

Track 1 is inspired by Lost Highway
Track 2 is inspired by The Mutilator. A b-movie filmed in the county I grew up in.
Track 3 is loosely inspired by Pandorum
Track 4 is inspired by slashers in general
Track 5 inspired by the 1962 film Ring of Terror, which I first saw on MST3k and have become kind of obsessed with over the years.
Track 6 is loosely inspired by The Fog
Track 7 is inspired by werewolf movies in general
Track 8 is inspired by Beyond the Black Rainbow

Tracks 4 and 5 both have interludes tacked onto the end.
